This term has become super popular lately. So what does it mean? Glass Skin is when your skin is at it's optimal health! Skin appears poreless, and has a GLOW!
How can we achieve this? Well, have no fear, I have you covered! Glass Skin is achievable for all! Its all about establishing a skincare routine that works for YOU. This might be a 10 step routine, or a great cleanser and moisturizer. The most important thing is that you choose a routine that is maintainable. You want to be able to continue this regime. Consistency is key. Everything in Skincare is about consistency.
It all starts from with in. My goal is to help you feel your absolute best. From the inside out. Yes, I have some pretty incredible Skincare items, but a lot of these amazing products don't work unless you truly put in the time. I always like to think everything can be improved, and this absolutely applies to your Skin.
Some of my favorite routines to get a head start on Glass Skin are, Microneedling, Facial Massage, Facial Oils, Exfoliation, and layers of Moisture.
Here is where my Skincare and Devices come into play. Once you have established a solid routine, stick with it. Make it your priority. It sounds silly, but you sort of have to make your facial routine as important as your workout routine! Our Face needs some love!
How to get Glass Skin on a Budget,
I am a big believer in using good old natural remedies. Some of my favorite go to products are Olive Oil, Baking Soda, Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Oil, and Strawberries!
As an Esthetician, I think its super important to be well trained in knowledge of ingredients and how to create a great facial without all the extras. During my time practicing Esthetics, I really felt that the Industry was lacking. The professional products weren't quite doing it for me. Part of what made Facials so fun was mixing and layering the products. This was a custom blend of Olive Oils, and essential oils. This was the best part of the facial. The Facial Massage makes your skin so, so happy! Don't overthink it. Focus on movements that are outward, upward and against gravity. Use your hands, you don't need to buy a Machine. Yes, Machines and Devices are amazing. Nothing takes place of a great basic facial.
Baking Soda is a amazing magic powder/potion! Seriously! I use this on the daily. I make a light paste with either water or Castor oil. Gently apply it to my skin, let sit for about 1-2 mins, and gently exfoliate. This is a gentle way of exfoliating the skin, lightening hyperpigmentation, refines pores, and actually aids in softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Its all about exfoliating the skin, increasing the cell turnover rate.
Apple Cider Vinegar is a wonderful toner for the Skin. I apply this daily, this has anti bacterial properties, brightens hyperpigmentation, aids in cell turnover rate, and the list goes on...
Coconut Oil, I have always loved this for my Cuticles, Face and Body. This may not be for everyone, but my skin happens to love it. I love this for the winter months. I love to add the extra to the ends of my lashes, hair and brows!
Strawberries, These are an amazing Antioxidant, and have a high content of Vitamin C. Fun fact, Marilyn Monroe would actually make a fresh Strawberry Scrub/Cleanser and use this for a Brightening effect!
